Fourth Revision Rhinoplasty + Paranasal Augmentation (One-Month Review)

I had undergone rhinoplasty three times previously,
so this was my fourth revision surgery.
Mentally, I was already very exhausted from the repeated procedures.
One of my previous surgeries in Busan led to a contracted nose,
so I later went to a clinic in Seoul known for treating contracted noses.
There, I received several stem cell treatments
and underwent revision using autologous rib cartilage and AlloDerm.
However, my nose still appeared upturned and unnatural,
and the issues were not fully corrected.
Because of that, I began searching again,
focusing specifically on clinics specializing in contracted nose revision
using full rib cartilage reconstruction.
During that process, I came across reviews of RU Plastic Surgery
and decided to schedule a consultation.
What stood out to me was Dr. Hyunjoo Kim’s philosophy.
Rather than focusing on making the nose excessively high or dramatic,
he emphasized achieving a natural result
that harmonizes with the entire face.
That mindset and aesthetic approach really appealed to me.
Dr. Kim also explained that while the nose itself could be improved,
I had significant volume loss in the paranasal area beside the nose.
He suggested that adding a paranasal implant could further enhance
the overall balance and result.
Since that area had already been a concern for me as well,
I trusted his judgment and decided to proceed with both procedures.
Now I am extremely satisfied with the outcome.
It has been about one month since my autologous rib revision surgery.
Perhaps because Dr. Kim has extensive experience with rib cartilage,
the rib harvest pain felt less severe than during my previous surgeries.
Of course, the first two to three days were still uncomfortable.
At this point, the nasal shape reflects exactly what I had hoped for—
the projection of the columella is just right,
and the overall nasal volume looks fuller
while still appearing natural.
For the nasal bridge, sliced autologous rib cartilage was used.
It provides definition similar to silicone,
but because it is my own tissue,
I feel much more comfortable without concerns about translucency.
During the first one to two weeks,
the nose appeared slightly larger due to swelling,
which made me a bit worried.
However, within about a month, the major swelling resolved,
and now the shape looks much more refined.
I truly feel that this will finally be my last revision surgery.
