1 Month After Revision Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

I had my first rhinoplasty about 10 years ago,
and honestly, I don’t even remember what material was used—
I think it was probably septal cartilage.
At that time, I had surgery to improve
my wide and low nose,
but there was very little improvement.
This time, since I had a long break,
I decided to plan for a revision
and searched extensively through apps and communities.
Among the reviews I liked,
many were from RU Plastic Surgery,
which led me to choose this clinic.
I liked how Dr. Hyun Joo Kim
creates a customized shape for each person,
while still achieving noticeable improvement
with a naturally rounded tip.
I had bulbous tip correction,
osteotomy for my wide bridge,
and alar reduction as well.
Since it was my first time using rib cartilage,
I was really nervous after hearing
how painful it could be,
but on the first day,
it was mostly just dryness in my throat,
and the rib area wasn’t too painful.
From the next day,
there was some soreness,
and for about 5 days,
it was quite uncomfortable,
but after that, daily life was manageable.
Since I also had osteotomy,
there is still noticeable swelling from the front,
but compared to before,
my nose looks much smaller,
and the shape has improved a lot,
so I’m very satisfied.
I’m looking forward to seeing it
become even slimmer
as the remaining swelling goes down.
