It had been about 13 years since my first rhinoplasty.
Over time,
my nose gradually became more crooked,
and it also seemed to lose height,
which led me to consider revision surgery.
This time,
I wanted more than just a revision.
My goal was to achieve
a more refined and well-defined nasal contour.
I first learned about RU Plastic Surgery
through one of my close friends,
who had rhinoplasty there.
Seeing the beautiful, natural result in person
gave me a lot of confidence,
and after my consultation,
I decided this was the right place for my surgery.
After discussing my case with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim,
we decided on a revision rhinoplasty
using a silicone implant for the bridge
and autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip.
My surgical plan also included
nasolabial angle adjustment,
deviated nose correction,
and functional rhinoplasty.
Since I also had chronic sinus issues,
I really appreciated that both the cosmetic
and functional concerns
could be addressed during the same procedure.
I'm currently about one week post-op,
so there is still some swelling,
but I can already see
that my nasal tip is more defined
and my side profile looks much more refined.
I'm still in the recovery process,
but I'm excited to see
how everything continues to settle
as the remaining swelling gradually subsides.
