Revision Rhinoplasty After 13 Years – 2 Months Post-Op
본문

Thirteen years ago,
I had my first rhinoplasty
using a silicone implant for the bridge
and septal cartilage for the nasal tip.
At the time, I was in my early twenties
and didn't think much about it,
but over the years,
my nasal bridge gradually lost definition.
From the front,
my nose appeared wider,
from the alar base to the columella,
giving it a flatter overall appearance.
The more I looked in the mirror,
the more I wanted to undergo revision rhinoplasty.
While researching different clinics,
I came across RU Plastic Surgery.
What impressed me most
was that Dr. Hyun Joo Kim personally handles
the consultation, surgery,
and postoperative care,
with follow-up appointments continuing for up to six months.
Since I believed that aftercare
is especially important for revision rhinoplasty,
I decided to schedule a consultation.
During my consultation,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim carefully evaluated my nose
and explained that the goal
was not simply to make it higher,
but to reconstruct the weakened nasal framework.
He recommended correcting my pinched nose,
adjusting the nasolabial angle,
and performing alar reduction
as part of the revision.
He clearly identified the underlying issues
and thoroughly explained
how they could be improved,
which greatly eased my concerns about surgery.
Now, two months after my revision,
most of the swelling has resolved,
and my nose has become
exactly the shape I had envisioned.
I'm truly thrilled with the result,
and I honestly don't know
how to thank Dr. Hyun Joo Kim enough.
At my most recent follow-up appointment,
he confirmed that everything was healing well
and that my recovery was progressing as expected.
