Revision Rhinoplasty: From a Pointed Tip to a Soft Straight-Curved Line
본문

After my previous rhinoplasty,
my nasal tip looked too pointed
and gave my nose an artificial appearance.
From the front,
my nose also looked longer,
which made my midface appear longer as well.
This became one of my biggest concerns
and eventually led me to consider revision rhinoplasty.
I first learned about RU Plastic Surgery
through a recommendation from someone I know.
During my consultation,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim carefully examined my nose
and explained in detail
which areas could be improved and how.
Most importantly,
I felt confident that he could soften the shape of my nasal tip
and improve my overall proportions naturally,
so I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery.
My revision rhinoplasty was performed
using autologous rib cartilage.
The period immediately after surgery
until the nasal packing was removed was quite uncomfortable,
but I felt much better once it was taken out.
The rib cartilage donor site
was painful for about three to four days,
but gradually improved afterward
and did not significantly interfere with my daily activities.
It has now been over one month since surgery,
and most of the swelling has gone down.
My overall nasal line looks much softer and more natural.
The overly pointed and sharp nasal tip I had before
now has a softer, more rounded shape,
which has also made my overall appearance look much more natural.
The long midface appearance
that used to bother me has also improved significantly,
so I'm very satisfied with the result.
There is still some residual swelling,
so I'm looking forward to seeing
how my nose continues to refine and settle over time.
