Two Months After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage > 리얼셀카 | RU성형외과

I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty because the tip of my nose had become noticeably lower than it was after my first rhinoplasty, 

and it also seemed to have started drooping. I had originally wanted to improve the bulbous appearance of my nasal tip during my first surgery, 

but since this was not sufficiently corrected, I had already been considering the use of autologous rib cartilage for my revision surgery.

While researching different clinics, I spent a great deal of time looking through before-and-after rhinoplasty photos on social media. 

I found that RU Plastic Surgery had many results that matched the type of nose I personally preferred. 

Their results appeared natural while still maintaining a refined and feminine shape, which ultimately led me to schedule a consultation.

During the consultation, I explained that I wanted to achieve better correction of my bulbous nasal tip and increase the projection of the tip as well. 

Based on this, silicone was used for the nasal bridge, 

while autologous rib cartilage was used to support and reshape the nasal tip.

 Since the base of my nose was not particularly wide or flared, I did not undergo a separate alar reduction procedure.

Because this was my first experience using autologous rib cartilage,

 I was initially worried that the recovery would be significantly more painful than my previous rhinoplasty. 

The first few days were indeed quite painful. After about one week, however, the discomfort became much more manageable. 

Interestingly, I did not experience much pain in my nose itself; most of the discomfort came from the rib cartilage donor site.

 I would especially recommend being cautious when stretching or coughing during the early recovery period, as the donor area can be quite sore.

Now, at two months after surgery, my nose has improved into the shape I had hoped for, and I am very satisfied with the overall result.

 Even if I could go back in time, I believe I would still choose to undergo the revision surgery.
