2 Months After Total Autologous Rib Rhinoplasty
본문

It has been over 2 months
since my primary rhinoplasty
with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery
using a customized 3D DCF technique.
Compared to the 1 month mark,
my nose feels a bit slimmer now.
As the residual swelling gradually decreases,
I’ve started noticing a slight hump more clearly
than I did before.
Thankfully, it doesn’t show much in photos,
which is somewhat reassuring.
I originally wanted a straight-profile line,
and was told that in the beginning
the bridge would look more straight,
then over time,
as swelling decreased and slight absorption occurred,
the final shape would settle more naturally
into the line I wanted.
Because of the slight hump that has appeared,
it still feels more straight than softly curved right now.
I can also feel a slight step-off
when touching the bridge,
so I’m hoping it doesn’t become more noticeable
and settles at a level
that still looks natural overall.
Other than that,
I’m very satisfied with the bridge height,
tip shape, and overall positioning.
I was also told that
the final shape usually settles after around 3 months,
so for now,
I’m planning to continue waiting and observing the recovery process.
