1 Month After Primary Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

It has been 1 month since my rhinoplasty
with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery,
including a silicone bridge, autologous rib cartilage tip,
and bulbous tip correction.
People around me keep saying
that my nose turned out really well,
but what I liked even more
was hearing comments like
“you look more refined”
and “your overall 분위기 feels more elegant.”
Since my features used to look soft and undefined,
those were exactly the compliments I wanted to hear.
Rather than making my nose simply high,
the shape was designed to match my facial proportions naturally,
which is probably why people react that way.
I recently went in for my 1 month follow-up,
and while comparing my before-and-after photos,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim also checked my nose directly.
He told me that my swelling was already very minimal,
so from this point,
only slight refinement of the line is expected.
In my case, the swelling was so minor
that I didn’t even take swelling medication during recovery.
At first, the tip felt extremely firm,
but now it has gradually softened,
and as the swelling decreases,
the shape is becoming softer and more rounded as well.
The columella scar is barely noticeable with makeup,
but I’m still applying scar cream consistently.
The rib donor scar was initially raised,
but the raised area has flattened significantly,
and I’ve been managing it carefully with scar treatment as well.
At this point,
there’s really no major discomfort left,
and it feels like I just need to continue
taking good care of the rib scar during recovery.
