Two-Week Review After Male Rhinoplasty for a Short Nose
본문

Before / 2w post-op
Before surgery, my nose had a somewhat bulbous appearance and a relatively low nasal bridge, so I wanted the overall nasal contour to look more defined.
Rather than an overly dramatic result, I wanted a nose that looked natural while still having enough height and projection. That was what initially led me to consider rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage.
I first learned about RU Plastic Surgery through a recommendation from someone I knew.
I became interested after seeing that person’s surgical result, which looked natural and well balanced. After researching more patient reviews, I also found many people with concerns similar to mine.
In particular, I felt that the postoperative results I saw were very close to the aesthetic direction I wanted, so I decided to proceed with a consultation and surgery.
During my consultation with Dr. Hyunju Kim, I explained the current condition of my nose and the type of result I was hoping to achieve.
We discussed improving the bulbous appearance while creating a more natural and balanced nasal bridge and tip.
My surgical plan included bulbous tip correction, an Innofit customized implant, autologous rib cartilage, and columellar lengthening.
The recovery process after surgery has been more manageable than I expected.
The postoperative bleeding settled within about two days in my case, and the swelling was not as severe as I had anticipated, so the early recovery felt relatively comfortable.
What I am most satisfied with is that the nasal tip does not look excessive and has taken on a natural shape.
Overall, I feel that my nose has improved toward the natural yet well-defined profile with added height that I had hoped for.
At two weeks postoperatively, I am very pleased with how the result is developing so far.
