It has been over 9 months since I had
functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty
at RU Plastic Surgery.
Before surgery, I had a slight hump,
and my tip was slightly droopy,
which made my nose look bulky from the front.
After thinking about it for a long time,
I decided to proceed with my first surgery
using autologous rib cartilage.
During consultation, both
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim and the counseling manager
explained everything clearly and kindly,
which gave me confidence.
Along with cosmetic improvement,
I also had two functional procedures
for nasal symptoms
(septal deviation and turbinate reduction).
Insurance coverage was applied,
and the clinic helped prepare
all the necessary documents.
Now, I can definitely breathe much better
through my nose.
I didn’t expect too much since
functional surgery can sometimes relapse,
and compared to 3–6 months post-op,
the effect feels slightly reduced now,
but it’s still much better than before surgery.
Since I had wide nasal bones,
I also had osteotomy and bulbous tip correction,
and now that all the residual swelling is gone,
the difference from before surgery is significant.
The result looks both natural and refined,
and I’m very satisfied.
At every follow-up,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim and the counseling manager
have answered all my questions
calmly and thoroughly,
which has given me even more trust.
