1 Month After Hump Nose and Droopy Tip Correction
본문

I had always been bothered by my slight hump
and droopy nasal tip,
especially when taking photos from the side,
so it became one of my biggest insecurities
and eventually led me to decide on rhinoplasty.
I learned about RU Plastic Surgery through an acquaintance,
and during consultation, the counseling manager
explained everything calmly and comfortably
without making me feel pressured.
One thing I especially liked
was hearing that the nasal tip
would not feel overly stiff or fixed afterward,
but would still move naturally.
During consultation,
the counseling manager and Dr. Hyun Joo Kim
explained that I also had a deviated septum,
so I decided to undergo functional nasal surgery
together to improve my breathing.
The surgical plan included
septal deviation correction,
a silicone implant for the bridge,
and autologous rib cartilage for the tip and structural support.
I was told that raising the bridge naturally
by only about 2–3mm
would smooth out the hump nicely,
and that the droopy tip
would be slightly lifted
to create a softer overall line.
The first two days after surgery
were honestly quite difficult,
but once the nasal packing was removed,
I felt much better.
The bruising and swelling
were also less severe than expected.
About a week later,
after the splint was removed
and some swelling had gone down,
I was even able to wear makeup again.
Most importantly,
the shape turned out exactly how I wanted,
which made me very satisfied.
People around me often say
it looks natural and pretty,
which has given me a lot more confidence,
and made me feel that choosing surgery
was the right decision.
