Revision Rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery (Total Autologous Rib Slice Technique)
본문

Since early 2024, I had repeated inflammation,
so I removed the implant and kept only autologous tissue,
but over time, the skin at the tip became thinner,
and eventually even the remaining tissue was removed,
which made me want to rebuild my nose again.
I found RU Plastic Surgery through an app,
and although the cost made me hesitate,
the design looked much more natural than other clinics,
and instead of only offering dermal grafts or solid rib,
they recommended a safer method using sliced rib cartilage,
which led me to choose this clinic.
During surgery, the inflamed tissue was removed,
and sliced autologous rib cartilage was used for the bridge,
with rib cartilage for the tip
using a septal extension technique,
and reinforced with rectus fascia.
After surgery, the rib pain was less than expected,
and I was able to walk around from the first day.
From about one week,
I could even go for walks comfortably.
Since I had previous implant removal due to inflammation,
this was my fourth surgery,
but by 2 weeks, even the minor swelling
had mostly subsided,
and the recovery felt surprisingly fast.
Before surgery, I repeatedly asked
for a softly rounded and lowered columella,
and it was done beautifully
without looking excessive,
which is my favorite part.
I was worried since my forehead is relatively low
and I couldn’t raise the bridge too much,
but it turned out naturally refined,
so I’m very satisfied.
