Revision Rhinoplasty for Tip Irregularity and Cartilage Protrusion

I decided to undergo revision surgery
due to noticeable complications
from my previous rhinoplasty—
including a step-off at the nasal tip,
drooping tip, deviation,
protruding cartilage, scar tissue,
and asymmetry of the nostrils.
These issues were quite visible
and became a major concern for me,
so I wanted to correct them.
I learned about RU Plastic Surgery
through a recommendation from an acquaintance.
During consultation,
the staff were very kind and attentive,
which made me feel comfortable
moving forward with the surgery.
When I met with Dr. Hyunjoo Kim,
he clearly understood all the concerns
I wanted to address—
including the tip irregularity, deviation,
and scar tissue.
He explained that the palpable scar tissue
would be removed as much as possible
during surgery,
and provided detailed explanations
throughout the consultation.
He also repeatedly checked
if I had any additional questions
and answered everything thoroughly,
which gave me a strong sense of trust.
Since this was my third revision,
I had already decided to use
autologous rib cartilage,
and knowing that Dr. Kim specializes in it,
I proceeded with a plan using
autologous rib cartilage and silicone.
The day after surgery,
I experienced some bleeding,
so I contacted the clinic.
They responded immediately
and asked me to come in for treatment,
which helped prevent any complications.
Even during recovery,
whenever I had questions,
I received detailed answers,
which was very reassuring.
All the concerns I had about complications
have now been successfully improved.
The protruding cartilage and scar tissue
were effectively removed,
and the tip irregularity and deviation
have been corrected cleanly.
Overall, I’m very satisfied
with the outcome.
