Two Weeks After Third Revision Rhinoplasty for Drooping Tip

I decided to undergo another revision because
even after two previous surgeries,
my nose looked quite different from the original,
and most importantly,
the lack of tip support became a major concern.
My last surgery was done using donor rib cartilage,
but over time, the nasal tip started to droop again.
This time, I wanted a more stable result
with stronger structural support,
so I chose revision rhinoplasty
using autologous rib cartilage.
Since this was my third revision,
I was very careful in selecting the clinic.
After reviewing many cases and before-and-after photos,
I came across RU Plastic Surgery.
During the consultation,
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim provided realistic explanations
and focused on the key concerns I had—
support, long-term stability, and overall balance.
That gave me a strong sense of trust.
We mainly discussed improving the drooping tip
and the lack of projection in the columella.
Dr. Kim also showed surgical method images
and explained how structural support would be reinforced.
He pointed out that my radix was slightly high
and guided me toward a design
that would look natural and balanced with my face.
The final surgical plan included
replacement of the silicone implant for the bridge,
autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip,
nasolabial angle adjustment,
columellar lowering,
and long nose correction.
Immediately after surgery and in the early stage,
it was difficult to clearly see the final shape
due to swelling and the splint.
However, I could already tell that
the radix and columella looked improved
compared to before.
As the swelling started to go down,
the overall shape became more defined,
and it felt like the nose was better suited
to my face.
Using autologous rib cartilage
gave the tip a firm and stable feel,
and the entire structure seems more secure.
Although it has only been two weeks
and more time is needed for full settling,
so far I feel that choosing to undergo
revision surgery again was the right decision.
The concerns I had with both the frontal
and profile views have improved,
and rather than looking overdone,
the result appears refined and aligned
with the natural look I wanted.
