I had previously undergone rhinoplasty about seven years ago.
Over time, the nasal tip implant became resorbed,
which caused tip drooping and a hump-like appearance.
In addition, the radix and nasal bridge appeared overly high,
and I wanted to reduce the overall height.
A close acquaintance had already undergone rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery
with very successful results, so I was familiar with the clinic.
However, I still visited several other hospitals for comparison.
During the consultation process, the differences became very clear,
and I felt the greatest level of trust with Dr. Hyunjoo Kim,
so I decided to proceed with surgery there.
I underwent autologous rib cartilage revision rhinoplasty
along with zygoma reduction surgery.
Postoperatively, I felt more disoriented than painful overall.
The nose itself was not very painful,
but the cheekbone area caused more discomfort.
The compression bandage was especially uncomfortable
for the first three days.
After enduring the initial three to four days,
the recovery became much more manageable,
and I genuinely felt that the decision was worthwhile.
Because my previous nose had been overly high and prominent,
I clearly requested a smaller, not overly elevated,
natural result with a softly rounded nasal tip.
The outcome is very close to what I had envisioned,
and I am satisfied with the overall result at this stage.
