It has been just over one month since undergoing long nose correction with autologous rib cartilage,
and I can feel that my nose is gradually settling into place.
While I am still being cautious, the tightness and sense of instability I felt early on have significantly improved,
and everything feels much more stable now.
People around me often comment that the swelling has gone down considerably
and that my overall image has changed a lot.
When I look in the mirror, the change still feels a bit unfamiliar at times,
but I am slowly adjusting to my new appearance.
Before rhinoplasty, my nose was low and spread out,
which made my mouth appear more protruded and gave my face a flat, unbalanced look.
After surgery, the central structure of my face feels more defined and upright,
and the overall balance and harmony are noticeably improved.
One concern I had was a step-off around the horizontal frown line area between the eyebrows.
However, Dr. Hyunjoo Kim explained that once the nose has fully settled,
he would personally refine that area using a different material if needed.
At first, I wondered whether that would truly be sufficient,
but he reassured me that it would be best addressed by him rather than elsewhere.
His confidence and willingness to take full responsibility for the surgical result until the end
gave me a strong sense of trust and reassurance,
and that alone has made me feel much more at ease about the overall process.
