Fourth Rhinoplasty – 6 Weeks Post-Op

My first rhinoplasty was for hump nose correction,
but afterward, my nose and columella became deviated.
I underwent two additional revision surgeries,
but the problem did not improve
and my nose actually seemed even more crooked.
Auricular cartilage had also been grafted
to correct my deviated nose and collapsed septum,
which eventually left my nasal bridge looking uneven and bumpy.
My biggest goal was to straighten the deviated bridge
and remove the prominent bump in the middle,
creating a smoother overall nasal line.
I first discovered RU Plastic Surgery through Instagram Reels.
After learning about septal reinforcement and extension surgery,
I felt that this technique might be exactly what my nose needed.
During my consultation,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim explained the surgical approach
clearly and in detail before I even had to ask many questions.
His confidence and thorough explanation
gave me a lot of trust in the surgical plan.
He explained that my collapsed and deviated septum
would be reinforced and extended,
which could also improve the nasolabial angle
and nasal tip height.
Since all of my previous surgeries were implant-free
and I had never experienced inflammation,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim initially recommended
an Innofit 3D-Customized Silicone Dorsal Implant.
However, I personally preferred to avoid silicone,
so I chose a 3D-Customized DCF technique
using autologous rib cartilage for an all-autologous approach.
Since this was my fourth rhinoplasty,
I expected severe swelling and bruising,
but both were surprisingly minimal.
My recovery was also smoother than I expected.
It has now been about six weeks,
and even friends I haven't seen in a while
only tell me that I look slimmer or prettier.
None of them realized I had another rhinoplasty
because the result looks so natural.
My deviated nose has improved significantly,
and the nostril asymmetry
that used to be very noticeable is now much more balanced.
Most importantly,
the final shape looks incredibly similar
to the reference photo I showed Dr. Hyun Joo Kim.
I couldn't be happier with the result.
The surgery was definitely an investment,
but for me, it was absolutely worth it.
