Three Months After Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

Before / 3m post-op
It has now been three months since I underwent rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
My surgical plan included silicone augmentation of the nasal bridge,
autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip, and correction of the bulbous nasal tip.
I recently visited the clinic for a postoperative follow-up.
I was told that most of the swelling affecting the overall nasal height has now subsided, while a small amount of swelling remains around the nasal tip.
Dr. Kim also explained that the tip is expected to become gradually softer and more flexible as the healing process continues.
I have been applying scar ointment consistently every day,
and during the follow-up, I was told that the scar had improved considerably.
I am especially satisfied with the overall height and proportion of my nose.
The result feels well balanced with my facial features and has settled into a shape that looks natural while still giving me the refinement I had hoped for.
Before surgery, I was never someone who particularly enjoyed taking photos of myself.
Since the rhinoplasty, however, I have gradually found myself taking more pictures because I feel more comfortable and confident with the way my face looks.
I had considered rhinoplasty for a very long time before finally deciding to proceed,
so I spent a great deal of time researching clinics and thinking carefully about the decision.
Since I live outside the Seoul area and also have a job that makes it difficult to take time off,
I was especially thorough when choosing where to have the surgery.
Looking back now, I feel that choosing Dr. Hyunju Kim for my rhinoplasty was one of the decisions I am happiest with this year.
At three months postoperatively, I am very satisfied with the overall result and am looking forward to seeing the nasal tip become even more refined
and natural as the remaining swelling continues to subside.
