Revision Rhinoplasty for a Short Nose Using Autologous Rib Cartilage

Before / 1m post-op
It has now been one month since I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
During my one-month follow-up, Dr. Kim carefully examined the condition of my nose and explained that the firmness I still feel is part of the normal recovery process.
I was advised to allow approximately three months for the tissues to continue softening and settling.
He also recommended maintaining regular nasal cleansing as part of my postoperative care.
Looking at my before-and-after photographs, I feel that choosing to undergo revision rhinoplasty was the right decision for me.
Before the surgery, I had actually considered simply living with my previous nose unless I developed a more serious issue such as inflammation or nasal contracture.
However, after comparing my preoperative photographs, I realized that even though I had undergone rhinoplasty in the past,
my nose still appeared quite small and the nasal tip was relatively short.
After this revision surgery, the tip has been brought down into a more natural position,
and the nasal bridge has also gained a subtle and balanced amount of height.
I am especially satisfied that the changes do not look excessive.
The overall shape feels natural and well proportioned to my face, which is exactly what I had hoped for.
At one month postoperatively, I am pleased with the progress so far
and am looking forward to seeing the nose become softer and more refined as the healing process continues.
