Male Rhinoplasty (No Implant) + Hump Nose Correction – 9-Month Update
본문

After being diagnosed with a nasal fracture when I was young,
my nose gradually became crooked and the hump became more noticeable.
Since then, I always had the thought that I would eventually need nose surgery.
Later on, an acquaintance recommended a doctor who is known for doing male rhinoplasty well,
which led me to get a consultation.
The first consultation I received at RU Plastic Surgery left a strong impression on me.
They showed PPT materials with osteotomy cases and before-and-after examples
of hump nose surgery similar to my case,
and explained in detail how the surgery would be approached
and what kind of shape would suit me best.
Since I don’t have much knowledge about plastic surgery,
the consultation confirmed for me that this was the right place.
I ended up paying the surgery deposit that same day and proceeded with the operation,
and now it has already been over 9 months.
At this point, my nose seems to have settled well into the natural, straight look
with a slightly elevated tip that I requested from Dr. Hyun-Joo Kim.
Because it’s a surgically corrected nose, it doesn’t move up and down like a “pig nose,”
but side to side it has become softer than I expected
and has a bit of elasticity.
When I meet friends I haven’t seen in a while,
even those who are thinking about revision surgery ask me where I had my nose done.
That’s when I really feel that my nose turned out well
and suits my face nicely.
