Two Months After Autologous Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty
본문

After having rhinoplasty, it’s obvious that my nose looks more defined,
but what surprised me most is how much my overall facial shape looks more balanced.
With more dimension in the center of my face, my features look slimmer,
and even the slightly protruding mouth appearance I used to notice
looks much less prominent now that my nose bridge is higher.
From a straight-on view, the change is so natural that it almost looks like
I just lost some weight. The fact that my overall image hasn’t changed drastically
actually makes me even more satisfied.
When I visited for my one-month follow-up, the swelling hadn’t gone down
as much as it has now at two months. At the time,
Dr. Hyun-Joo Kim explained that the swelling around the glabella,
the sides of the nasal bridge, and the nostrils would continue to subside,
and that’s exactly what’s been happening.
He also checked the rib cartilage incision site.
I’ve been using the scar tape provided by the clinic,
and he said it’s healing well.
(The mark is still visible for now, but I’m sure it will fade over time.)
I was also worried about the incision scar under the nose.
At one month, it was quite noticeable with some redness around it,
but I was told it would become barely visible.
Now, at two months, it has already faded significantly.
I’m scheduled for another follow-up at three months,
and I’m really looking forward to seeing how much more the swelling improves by then.
