Before surgery, the main concern was that my nasal line
appeared generally low and wide.
From the front, the glabellar area looked indistinct,
and the transition between the nasal bridge and the tip
did not appear smooth, which made my overall facial features
look less defined.
I was also hoping to address residual filler from previous procedures,
which led me to seriously consider rhinoplasty.
I discovered RU Plastic Surgery while researching rhinoplasty reviews
and was particularly drawn to the consistently natural-looking outcomes.
The clinic’s approach of designing results that are harmonious with the face,
without appearing excessive, left a strong impression.
During consultation, no unnecessary procedures were recommended,
and the explanations were tailored specifically to my facial structure,
which gave me confidence in deciding on autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty.
I received consultation and treatment from Dr. Kim Hyun Joo.
Based on my facial proportions and the condition of my existing nose,
the surgical plan included osteotomy, nasal tip reinforcement
using autologous costal cartilage,
as well as removal of existing filler and threads.
The consultation was very detailed,
with clear explanations of both the desired aesthetic direction
and what was realistically achievable,
which made the decision process reassuring.
During the recovery period, there was initial swelling
around the glabella and nasal area,
but by carefully following the postoperative care instructions,
the swelling gradually subsided.
As time passed and the swelling reduced,
the nasal line became more refined and natural,
and my facial impression looked significantly clearer
from both the front and the side.
The result does not feel excessive,
yet the overall facial balance has noticeably improved,
which has led to a high level of satisfaction.
