After my initial rhinoplasty failed to adequately correct issues such as a dorsal hump, nasal deviation, and a bulbous nasal tip,
I had been considering revision surgery for some time.
As these concerns gradually became more noticeable and bothersome,
I ultimately decided to proceed with revision rhinoplasty.
Because I strongly value natural aesthetics,
I focused my research on cases emphasizing natural-looking revision rhinoplasty and reconstructive surgery,
and after consultation at RU Plastic Surgery,
I chose to proceed based on my trust in Dr. Kim Hyun Joo.
The revision procedure was performed using autologous costal cartilage,
with additional nasolabial angle correction, osteotomy,
and the use of acellular dermal matrix.
One aspect I particularly appreciate is the ability to see the surgeon frequently
during postoperative care and follow-up visits.
Although Dr. Kim is often very busy,
he consistently takes the time to answer questions thoroughly,
which provides reassurance and a strong sense of attentive care.
Now that I am beyond the two-month postoperative mark,
most of the swelling has significantly subsided.
There had been some stiffness when moving my mouth earlier in recovery,
but this has improved considerably and is no longer bothersome.
At this point, there is virtually no discomfort in daily life.
I also experienced some irritation at the costal cartilage donor site due to skin sensitivity,
but this has since resolved without further issues.
