Functional Rhinoplasty: Aesthetic and Functional Improvement
본문

The reason I decided to undergo functional rhinoplasty
was that my nose appeared overall elongated with a drooping tip,
which gave my face a sharp and unbalanced impression.
In addition to the aesthetic concerns,
I also experienced nasal obstruction,
so I wanted to improve both appearance and nasal function at the same time.
I first learned about RU Plastic Surgery through YouTube,
and what stood out to me was that their results looked natural
while also carefully addressing functional aspects of the nose.
This approach gave me confidence,
and after consultation, I decided to proceed with surgery.
During my consultation with Dr. Kim Hyun Joo,
he explained my current nasal structure and the areas requiring improvement
in a very detailed and easy-to-understand manner.
Rather than suggesting an aggressive or excessive design,
he proposed a surgical plan that would best suit my facial structure,
which helped establish a strong sense of trust.
The procedure included correction of a long nose and drooping nasal tip,
as well as septal deviation correction.
Autologous cartilage was used for the nasal tip,
and silicone was used for the nasal bridge.
The postoperative recovery was much smoother than I had expected.
Swelling subsided relatively quickly,
and there was minimal bruising,
allowing me to return to daily activities without much difficulty.
Although I am still in the recovery phase,
I can already feel the nasal line becoming more natural over time,
and most importantly, the nasal obstruction has improved significantly.
Overall, I am very satisfied with both the aesthetic and functional results,
and I am looking forward to seeing the final outcome as healing continues.
