It has been one month since I underwent revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery,
during which the silicone implant was removed and both the nasal bridge and tip
were reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage.
The diced rib cartilage used for the nasal bridge feels very natural,
with no sense of foreign material, and is noticeably more organic
compared to silicone.
When comparing before-and-after photos,
the nose appears clearly more refined and well-balanced.
There is still some residual swelling at the nasal tip,
but during my one-month follow-up visit,
scar tissue management injections were administered,
and the surgical site was examined thoroughly,
which gave me reassurance as I wait for further stabilization.
Breathing feels comfortable,
and perhaps because I previously had surgery using donated rib cartilage,
I do not experience any significant stiffness or discomfort
associated with autologous rib cartilage.
Overall, I am very satisfied with achieving a naturally elevated
yet refined nasal contour,
and I am confident the results will continue to settle beautifully
over time.
