Postoperative Review After Revision Rhinoplasty and Functional Nasal Surgery
본문

I previously underwent rhinoplasty many years ago,
and over time I became dissatisfied with the outcome due to an overly high radix,
a shortened nasal length, and a drooping nasal tip.
After extensive research and multiple consultations,
I ultimately decided on revision surgery after watching surgical videos
by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo at RU Plastic Surgery,
as their approach aligned best with my expectations.
Functional nasal surgery and treatment for rhinitis were performed concurrently.
As a result, my breathing has improved significantly overall.
When I experienced mild nasal dryness, saline irrigation was recommended,
and this quickly resolved the dryness and discomfort inside the nose.
At this stage, most of the postoperative swelling has subsided,
and the nose appears far more natural than before.
The donor site from autologous rib cartilage harvest causes little to no discomfort,
and areas of internal scar tissue are being monitored,
with further treatment to be considered only if necessary.
Currently, the nose continues to stabilize gradually over time,
and the improvement compared to the initial postoperative period is clear.
The previously drooping nasal tip and high radix have been corrected naturally,
resulting in a clean, well-balanced nasal contour that appears refined and harmonious.
