Six-Month Follow-Up After Revision Rhinoplasty for Short, Upturned Nasal Tip

I underwent revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery
due to a short, upturned nasal tip that had developed over time.
During consultation, it was explained that my condition was not true contracture,
but rather a structural short nose deformity.
Through a detailed PPT-based explanation,
I was able to clearly understand which surgical approach
would provide long-term stability for a short nose like mine.
Because the columella retraction was significant,
my nose appeared pig-like,
and excessive nostril show from the frontal view
had been a major source of stress.
After careful consideration,
I decided to proceed with revision surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
Now at six months postoperatively,
the frontal swelling has significantly subsided,
and the nasal line has settled into the straight profile
I originally hoped for.
The donor-site scar from the costal cartilage harvest
has also faded more than expected,
which has been reassuring.
For this revision,
silicone was used along the nasal bridge,
and autologous costal cartilage was used for the nasal tip.
The surgical plan included short nose correction
and columella lengthening,
and the procedure was performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo.
Overall, the results have stabilized well,
and I am satisfied with both the aesthetic outcome
and the long-term structural support achieved through this approach.
