Two-Month Postoperative Review After Revision Rhinoplasty
본문

After my initial rhinoplasty, I continued to feel that the nasal tip was gradually drooping.
After reviewing numerous postoperative cases and visiting approximately four clinics for consultations,
I ultimately decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim Hyun Joo at RU Plastic Surgery.
For this revision procedure,
the surgical plan involved lowering the starting point of the silicone implant,
correcting a bulbous nasal tip,
and performing alar base reduction using an internal incision approach.
It has now been two months since the revision surgery.
Since about one month postoperatively, there have not been any dramatic visible changes,
but I can feel that the residual swelling is continuing to subside gradually.
During follow-up visits,
Dr. Kim carefully examined the incision beneath the nose as well as the costal cartilage donor-site scar,
and provided thorough explanations whenever I had questions, which was reassuring.
At this point,
there is no discomfort when smiling or making facial expressions,
and there are moments when I forget that I even had nasal surgery.
The costal cartilage donor site is no longer painful,
and I am able to exercise without any limitations or discomfort.
Overall, recovery has been smooth and stable,
and I am comfortably adjusting to the surgical results at this stage.
