Two-Month Postoperative Review After Hump Nose Correction Using a Non-Implant Technique with Septal and Auricular Cartilage
본문

After undergoing rhinoplasty,
there were moments when I briefly questioned my decision,
mainly due to postoperative swelling that made the nose appear unfamiliar.
However, as the swelling gradually subsided,
I began receiving many comments from people around me
saying that the result looked natural and that my appearance had improved.
From my own perspective,
most of the swelling has now resolved,
and the outcome closely matches what I had hoped for.
The nose looks naturally feminine and well balanced,
which has made me very satisfied with the result.
Because this was my first rhinoplasty and the outcome feels stable,
I do not feel the need for revision surgery.
In fact, many people do not realize that I had rhinoplasty at all,
and some have even commented that my face looks slimmer,
as if I had lost weight.
The subtle elevation of the nasal contour
has made my overall facial proportions appear more refined.
At my one-month follow-up visit,
I returned to the clinic for a postoperative evaluation.
I received swelling reduction laser treatment
and had follow-up photographs taken
to compare my preoperative and postoperative results.
When reviewing the images,
the changes appeared natural and aligned with my original goals.
I was informed that residual swelling at the nasal tip
may continue to improve up to six months postoperatively,
but even at this stage,
I feel that a significant amount of swelling has already resolved.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo
at RU Plastic Surgery.
A non-implant technique was used,
utilizing septal cartilage and auricular cartilage.
Alar lowering and alar base reduction
were also performed as part of the surgical plan.
