Saddle Nose Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage – 6 Months Post-Op
본문

My nose developed a saddle nose deformity
after complications from a thread lifting procedure,
so I decided to undergo rhinoplasty
to achieve a straighter nasal line.
During consultations at other clinics,
I was consistently told that my septal cartilage was too small
and that either donor rib cartilage
or autologous rib cartilage would be necessary.
While searching for a clinic specializing
in autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty,
I found many cases similar to mine
at RU Plastic Surgery and decided to have a consultation.
I was satisfied with several aspects of the clinic,
including the postoperative care,
revision policy,
and the availability of an anesthesiologist.
Most importantly,
I felt confident that Dr. Hyun Joo Kim
could create the natural straight nose I wanted,
so I decided to have my surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
It has now been six months
since my rhinoplasty with autologous rib cartilage,
and I’m very satisfied with the result.
The shape of my nose has remained stable,
and I haven’t experienced any significant discomfort.
At my recent follow-up,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim explained that
the remaining stiffness with side-to-side nasal movement
should continue to soften over time.
Overall,
I’m happy with how my nose has healed
and settled over the past six months.
