One-Month Review After Surgery for Nasal Contracture

It has now been one month since I underwent surgery for nasal contracture with Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.

At first, as the swelling began to subside, I felt that my nose looked slightly lower than I had expected, which made me a little concerned.

However, once I compared my current appearance with my preoperative photos, I realized how significant the overall change had actually been.

My biggest concern before surgery was the upturned appearance of my nose.

As the nasal tip has been brought down into a more natural position, the overall impression of my face has improved considerably, and I am very pleased with the change.

I decided to proceed with surgery because I trusted Dr. Kim’s surgical expertise, and I have been very satisfied with the result so far.

The previously pinched areas have been smoothed out, and rather than focusing on creating an excessively high nose,

the surgical plan emphasized lowering and repositioning the nasal tip.

Because of this, the result looks very natural and does not have an obviously operated appearance.

I had specifically wanted to avoid an artificially sharp or overly pointed nasal tip,

so I am especially happy that the current shape suits my preferences and facial features well.

At my one-month follow-up, Dr. Kim carefully examined the condition of my nose and reviewed my recovery in detail.

I have also been consistently applying the scar gel provided for the rib cartilage donor site.

I was informed that laser treatment for the donor-site scar is planned around the three-month stage of recovery,

and I am continuing to follow the postoperative care plan while waiting for the healing process to progress further.

At one month postoperatively, I am very satisfied with how naturally the correction is settling and am looking forward to seeing further refinement over the next few months.
