One-Month Review After Male Functional Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage

It has now been one month since I underwent functional rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage with Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
The biggest change I have noticed is that the overall impression of my face looks much more refined and balanced now that the shape of my nose has improved.
Before surgery, my nose was deviated and had a noticeable dorsal hump, which made my facial appearance seem different depending on the angle.
After surgery, I feel that my face looks more balanced and consistent from different viewpoints, which has been one of the most satisfying changes for me.
During my most recent follow-up, Dr. Kim examined the condition of my nasal septum and reviewed the overall healing process.
I was told that some of the areas that currently appear swollen are related to postoperative scar tissue rather than swelling alone.
Since I am still in the recovery stage, Dr. Kim explained that the nose is expected to continue settling and looking more natural as the tissues heal over time.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the surgical result so far.
I also appreciate that Dr. Kim carefully evaluates my condition at each follow-up visit and provides detailed explanations about the recovery process.
