Two-Week Review After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Sliced Rib Cartilage
본문

Before / 2w post-op
I began considering revision rhinoplasty because I was concerned about the deviation of my nose and the asymmetry of my nostrils.
While researching several clinics, I came across RU Plastic Surgery. I was particularly interested in the clinic’s extensive experience with revision rhinoplasty and the natural-looking results shown in patient reviews, which led me to schedule a consultation.
During my consultation, Dr. Hyunju Kim carefully evaluated the current condition of my nose and explained a surgical plan focused on improving both the nasal deviation and nostril asymmetry.
He also explained that, based on my facial proportions, lowering the starting point of the nasal bridge would help make my midface appear shorter and more balanced.
For this reason, the silicone implant that had previously been placed in my nasal bridge was removed, and we decided on an implant-free approach. Autologous rib cartilage was used to refine and support the nasal tip while creating a more natural overall contour.
As the postoperative swelling has gradually subsided, the nasal line has become increasingly refined.
Most importantly, the nostril asymmetry and the deviated appearance of my nose, which had been my biggest concerns before surgery, have already improved noticeably.
At two weeks postoperatively, my nose looks much more balanced from the frontal view while still maintaining a natural appearance.
Although I am still in the early stages of recovery, I am very satisfied with the improvement so far and look forward to seeing the shape become even more refined as the remaining swelling continues to subside.
