Nine-Month Postoperative Review After Combined Rhinoplasty and Facial Contouring (One Procedure)
본문

I am sharing my nine-month postoperative review
after undergoing combined rhinoplasty and facial contouring.
Previously, I was concerned about a retruded chin
and a short nose, which made my facial proportions
and frontal appearance feel flat and lacking dimension.
While searching for a clinic that could address both the nose and facial contouring,
I came across reviews of nose and chin surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
After consulting with Dr. Kim Hyun Joo,
I decided to proceed with autologous rib rhinoplasty
together with one facial contouring procedure
(genioplasty with chin advancement for correction of a weak chin).
Immediately after surgery,
the discomfort from general anesthesia was noticeable,
especially throat dryness and irritation, which was quite uncomfortable.
Around the six-month mark,
the incision site where the rib cartilage was harvested
still appeared somewhat red.
However, after six months, it became noticeably clearer and lighter in color,
making it much less noticeable.
I plan to continue applying scar ointment consistently
until it is fully used.
RU Plastic Surgery is well known
for complex contracture nose revision
and advanced nasal reconstruction cases,
but in my experience,
they also perform primary rhinoplasty
and facial contouring surgery very well.
I had also been bothered by nostril asymmetry,
and while it is not perfectly symmetrical even now,
it is far more balanced than before surgery.
Personally, I am very satisfied with the results.
The change in my side profile is especially significant,
and many people now ask what procedure I had done
and where I had it performed.
