One-Month Postoperative Review After Non-Implant Rhinoplasty and Chin Contouring Surgery

To correct a dorsal hump nose and a retruded chin,
I underwent non-implant rhinoplasty and chin contouring surgery
at RU Plastic Surgery.
At one month postoperatively for both facial contouring and rhinoplasty,
most of the swelling has significantly subsided.
Suture removal was quite uncomfortable at the time,
but afterward, nasal breathing became noticeably more comfortable.
Because my nasal bridge was already relatively high,
I was concerned that elevating the nasal tip might make the nostrils appear sharp or overly exposed.
However, the result closely resembles my original nasal shape,
which I am very satisfied with.
Regarding the chin surgery,
there are no visible external scars,
and eating has become much more comfortable compared to the early postoperative period.
I was informed that the scar beneath the nose is expected to fade further
around the three-month postoperative mark.
The decision to undergo surgery was primarily due to the arrow-shaped nasal tip
and the prominent dorsal hump.
The position and shape of the nasal tip have improved well overall.
While the dorsal hump may not be completely eliminated,
I preferred a natural result over an overly artificial appearance,
and compared to my preoperative state,
the change is both clear and natural.
I am particularly relieved that I no longer feel stressed
when taking profile photographs.
For the rhinoplasty,
septal cartilage and auricular cartilage were used,
without the use of costal cartilage.
