Six-Month Postoperative Review After Revision Contracted Nose Surgery
본문

I proceeded with this surgery considering it to be my final revision for a contracted nose before marriage.
After getting married and raising a child, I came to realize that for contracted nose revision,
autologous costal cartilage is essentially the only viable long-term solution.
For years, I repeatedly found myself standing in front of the mirror,
debating whether I should undergo another revision
or simply accept the condition as it was.
This cycle of hesitation continued for nearly six years.
While browsing social media, I came across nasal results that matched exactly
the aesthetic outcome I had been hoping for.
After sending an inquiry message, I promptly scheduled a consultation
at RU Plastic Surgery.
Although I had been advised to consult at least three clinics,
after meeting Dr. Kim Hyun Joo, I made my decision without hesitation.
Dr. Kim clearly understood my primary concerns,
particularly my desire for a natural outcome,
and explained the postoperative management plan for revision contracted nose surgery in detail,
which provided significant reassurance.
It has now been six months since the revision surgery.
At a recent follow-up visit, hypertrophic scar tissue was treated with laser therapy,
and due to firmness at the nasal tip from multiple prior surgeries,
I also received injections to help soften the tissue more quickly.
At the six-month mark, residual swelling has noticeably subsided,
and the nasal contour appears much more natural.
Because the design followed a straight-profile line,
the nose does not appear upturned compared to before,
and I am overall very satisfied with the result.
I believe this outcome was possible because Dr. Kim Hyun Joo
carefully reflected my concerns and aesthetic preferences
throughout the revision process.
