Revision Rhinoplasty Experience After Nasal Trauma Two-Week Postoperative Review at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

After fracturing my nose last year, I underwent reconstructive surgery.
However, since then, I continued to feel movement in the nasal bridge
and noticed slight deviation.
Even before that injury, I had already undergone rhinoplasty twice,
but the correction of my short nose was insufficient,
and the nasal tip shape remained unnatural,
which always left me feeling dissatisfied.
I later learned about RU Plastic Surgery.
Initially, I consulted at a large hospital,
where I was told that because the skin of my nasal tip was thin,
it would be difficult to increase height or refine the shape,
and that there was even a risk of skin perforation.
Hearing this honestly made me quite anxious.
However, during my consultation with Dr. Kim Hyun Joo,
he carefully examined the condition of my nose
and explained step by step how correction could be achieved.
His calm reassurance, saying, “It’s okay, we can do this well,”
gave me a great sense of relief,
and that was when I decided to proceed with revision rhinoplasty.
After surgery, there was surprisingly very little bruising,
and the swelling subsided quickly.
As time has passed, the nasal line has continued to improve,
settling into the refined yet natural look I was hoping for.
I am truly satisfied with how it has turned out.
People around me often say that my nose looks genuinely beautiful and very natural,
which has greatly boosted my confidence.
These photos were taken at two weeks postoperatively,
and I plan to continue managing my recovery carefully.
For this revision surgery, autologous rib cartilage and a silicone implant were used.
Additional procedures included short nose correction and columellar lengthening.
All procedures were performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo at RU Plastic Surgery.
