It has already been six months since I underwent contracture nose revision surgery
along with nasolabial angle correction.
This was my second revision rhinoplasty.
My initial surgery was about five years ago using auricular cartilage and silicone,
followed by a revision using autologous rib cartilage.
However, several years later, inflammatory acne developed along the nasal bridge,
with recurrent swelling and a sensation of heat.
When I visited the hospital, I was told that emergency surgery was necessary
and that both the implant and the rib cartilage had to be completely removed.
After the removal surgery, my nose became noticeably upturned and shortened,
resulting in a visible deformity.
At that time, it was emotionally very difficult to even look at myself in the mirror.
Later, I came across postoperative reviews of contracture nose revision surgery
performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo at RU Plastic Surgery.
After receiving a consultation, I gained trust
and decided to proceed with revision surgery once again.
Before surgery, I underwent stem cell injection therapy,
and the contracture nose revision was performed
using scalp fascia and diced rib cartilage.
Now, at six months postoperatively, most of the swelling has resolved,
and the nasal contour has settled into a very natural shape.
From the front, the nasal tip appears more refined and slender,
and from the side, the profile has become much softer and more natural
thanks to the nasolabial angle correction.
I had many concerns in the early stages of recovery,
but now my breathing feels comfortable,
and my nasal shape has been fully normalized.
I am truly very satisfied with the outcome.
