Revision Rhinoplasty Experience at RU Plastic Surgery One-Month Postoperative Review
본문

I had undergone rhinoplasty a long time ago,
but over time, I became dissatisfied with the results
because the radix appeared too high
and the nasal tip seemed droopy.
Due to this aesthetic dissatisfaction,
I decided to proceed with revision rhinoplasty.
After reviewing photo-based reviews and written posts
on plastic surgery communities,
I visited four different clinics for consultations.
Among them, Dr. Kim Hyun Joo
and the staff at RU Plastic Surgery
left the best impression,
which led me to make my final decision.
For this revision surgery,
the plan focused on lowering the starting point of the silicone implant
and correcting the bulbous nasal tip.
An internal incision alar reduction
was also performed at the same time.
Up to about five days postoperatively,
the rib cartilage donor site was painful,
and recovery from general anesthesia was challenging.
Now, at one month after revision rhinoplasty,
all bruising along the nasal bridge has resolved,
and the swelling around the bridge, dorsum, and radix
has significantly decreased.
Nasal discharge has also reduced compared to before,
and overall, my nose feels much more comfortable.
I am able to wash my face and apply makeup without difficulty,
and after undergoing functional rhinoplasty for rhinitis,
my breathing has become much easier.
The tightness in the upper lip area
when smiling or applying lip products
has also improved compared to the early postoperative period.
