RU Plastic Surgery Male Rhinoplasty Six-Month Postoperative Review (Bulbous Tip Correction, Osteotomy)
본문

It has already been six months since I underwent autologous rib rhinoplasty
performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo.
Before surgery, I watched countless male rhinoplasty vlogs on YouTube,
and the straight nasal line that appealed to me the most
belonged to a creator who had surgery with Dr. Kim.
That is what led me to visit RU Plastic Surgery.
I preferred a calm and focused environment rather than a large-scale clinic,
and RU Plastic Surgery felt much more comfortable in that regard.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim explained that my skin was sufficiently flexible,
making it possible to achieve adequate projection using autologous rib cartilage.
He also noted that to improve the frontal appearance,
a controlled osteotomy would be necessary to narrow the wide nasal bones.
Based on this plan, I proceeded with bulbous tip correction
and osteotomy together.
In the early postoperative period, there was some bruising and swelling,
but most of it subsided after about two weeks.
The columellar scar gradually became barely noticeable over time.
At this point, there is no residual redness,
and the healing process feels very stable.
Now that six months have passed,
the nasal line looks much more refined and well-settled.
The straight male nasal line I wanted has been achieved naturally,
and from the front, the previously wide and bulky nasal tip
now appears more centralized and balanced,
making the bulbous appearance far less noticeable.
I would like to sincerely thank the staff at RU Plastic Surgery
for their attentive and thorough postoperative care.
