Two-Month Postoperative Review After Autologous Rib Cartilage Revision Rhinoplasty for Drooping Nasal Tip at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

It has been just over two months since I underwent revision rhinoplasty
using autologous rib cartilage to correct a drooping nasal tip.
My original nose was naturally well-shaped,
so during my first surgery, the plan was to slightly shave down the dorsal hump
and add volume accordingly.
That procedure was performed using silicone, auricular cartilage,
and osteotomy.
However, afterward, my nose began to droop and elongate in an unnatural way,
which disrupted my overall facial proportions
and caused significant stress.
I started searching specifically for a clinic
specializing in revision rhinoplasty and autologous rib cartilage procedures.
During that process, I came across RU Plastic Surgery
and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Kim Hyun Joo.
Now, a little over two months after surgery,
my facial proportions feel much more balanced,
and my nose finally looks harmonious with my face.
The glabellar line has formed a natural curve,
and the nasal tip appears slightly more rounded,
with the height increased naturally, just as I had hoped.
This experience made me realize
how important it is to carefully choose the right approach from the first surgery.
Initially, I had some regrets due to pain at the rib cartilage donor site,
but now I am very satisfied that I chose autologous rib cartilage
for my revision surgery.
In addition, correction for a long nose,
nasolabial angle adjustment,
and mild alar reduction were also performed.
