Two Weeks After Straight-Line Rhinoplasty with Osteotomy and Bulbous Tip Correction

I’ve always wanted sleek nostrils and a clean, elegant dorsal line,
so after a long period of consideration, I finally decided to undergo rhinoplasty.
While researching several clinics, I came across RU Plastic Surgery
and booked a consultation.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim Hyun-joo explained the surgical plan and anatomy
in a way that was very easy for me to understand.
Her emphasis on safety and her aesthetic sense made me feel confident,
so I decided on surgery right away.
Since my brow bone structure is prominent,
Dr. Kim explained that an overly high dorsal line might make my features look harsh.
So he used silicone to create a natural dorsal height
and corrected the nasal tip using autologous rib cartilage.
To improve the frontal shape, he performed bilateral osteotomy
along with alar base support through alar base–columella angle correction.
He also referenced the photos of the nose shape I wanted,
which made me feel even more reassured.
Swelling varies from person to person,
but mine was relatively minimal, and the recovery process progressed quickly.
I only felt slight tension around the nasal tip and philtrum,
and the autologous rib cartilage donor site felt similar to mild muscle soreness
that appeared mainly when bending.
Even with the swelling, I loved the shape when the splint was removed.
By the end of the first week, most of the dorsal swelling had subsided
and the tip gradually became more natural.
Now at the two-week mark, everything feels much more stable,
and the result matches the design photos I brought—
balanced, harmonious, and very natural on my face.
I was initially worried because rhinoplasty often requires revision,
but thankfully, I’m extremely satisfied with the outcome after just one surgery.
The remaining minor swelling will continue to improve,
and even people around me have been asking where I had my surgery
because the result is so nice.
