Revision Rhinoplasty One-Month Review
본문

I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty because I was not satisfied with the results of my previous surgery.
I wanted to change the overall nasal contour—specifically lowering the radix while creating a more defined
and elevated nasal tip for a refined, natural-looking appearance.
Although RU Plastic Surgery is a relatively new clinic,
the before-and-after cases on their website convinced me that Dr. Hyun Joo Kim’s aesthetic style aligned with what I was looking for.
During the in-person consultation, the explanation was extremely thorough and meticulous,
which gave me strong confidence in proceeding with the revision.
The surgical plan included:
– Autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip
– Silicone dorsal implant
– Columellar lengthening
– Nasolabial angle correction
– Short nose correction
Compared to my primary surgery, the recovery this time was much smoother.
Swelling and bruising subsided quickly, which was especially reassuring since
I work full time and was initially worried about downtime with autologous rib cartilage.
From the second postoperative day, daily activities were manageable,
and discomfort was much milder than expected.
Although I still have residual swelling and an internal silicone splint, making it too early to judge the final contour,
the lowered radix and enhanced nasal tip projection are already visibly improved.
Friends who saw my nose right after the splint removal immediately asked for the clinic information
because the change was so noticeable in a positive way.
I am very pleased with the results so far and look forward to seeing how the final shape settles as the swelling continues to resolve.
