2 Months After Autologous Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty, Alar Base/Nasal Tip Refinement, and Columella Angle Correction

Before

I had long been dissatisfied with the low bridge of my nose and the lack of definition in my side profile, but kept putting off surgery. Then, by chance, I came across a post about RU Plastic Surgery while looking into autologous rib cartilage procedures. As I continued reading, I was drawn to Dr. Hyunjoo Kim’s surgical approach, aesthetic sense, and the overall atmosphere of the clinic, which ultimately led me to choose RU Plastic Surgery for my procedure.
I had previously undergone a non-surgical “high nose” procedure, so I first had to dissolve the filler and remove any remaining threads. This time, I had surgery that included autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip, a silicone implant for the bridge, and additional corrections for a bulbous tip and columella angle.
Since I have thin skin, Dr. Kim also applied Megaderm, a dermal matrix material, over the graft to help prevent visibility or translucency.
Now that I’m over two months post-op, I don’t feel any discomfort from the nose, and I’ve received many compliments from people around me saying the surgery looks great and natural. The overall result has given my face much more dimension, and I’m genuinely happy with how it turned out.
