2 Months After Revision Rhinoplasty: Short Nose Correction and Columella Lengthening
본문

I was very dissatisfied with the shape of my columella, which appeared recessed rather than trimmed, making it hardly visible from the side. From the front, my nostrils were quite exposed, and the overall length of my nose was too short, which I disliked.
After watching Dr. Hyunjoo Kim’s videos on YouTube, I was impressed by her approach and surgical methods, so I decided to consult at RU Plastic Surgery. Both the director and the coordinator were very kind. Dr. Kim thoroughly explained the revision process using a presentation and detailed why autologous rib cartilage is essential for correcting a short nose.
I scheduled my revision surgery and it has now been over two months since the operation. The swelling on the nasal dorsum took longer to subside than I expected, so I frequently used nasal tip taping. However, my previously short nose has become beautifully elongated, and the recessed columella has been properly lowered and corrected. The result looks natural and well balanced.
The feedback from those around me has been very positive. Even a friend who is knowledgeable about rhinoplasty complimented my nose and said it looked so good that I likely wouldn’t need another revision. I am very satisfied.
