Two Months After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose

A close friend of mine had revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery,
and after seeing the result in person—which perfectly matched my aesthetic preference—
I decided to entrust my long-awaited revision for a contracted nose to Dr. Hyun Joo Kim.
Although my case involved nasal deformity caused by contraction,
Dr. Kim explained that there was no severe inflammation
and that the contracture wasn’t due to the silicone implant itself.
Therefore, while it was a revision surgery for a contracted nose,
a silicone implant was still used for the nasal dorsum.
Rib cartilage was recommended, but I personally had some hesitation about it,
so instead, fascia reinforcement was added to prevent capsular contracture.
Now that I’m two months post-op, most of the swelling has subsided,
and the heavy, puffy look from the early stage has almost disappeared.
My nose has become slimmer and more refined over time.
The incision from the rib cartilage donor site is still somewhat red,
so I’m consistently applying scar treatment cream.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with how the shape turned out—it’s exactly what I envisioned.
Before surgery, I printed out several reference photos showing the nose shapes I liked
and emphasized them clearly during consultation.
Dr. Kim even put the photos up in the operating room for reference.
Many of my friends have since asked if I had another surgery
because the result looks so natural and suits my face so well.
A few of them even visited RU Plastic Surgery for consultations after seeing my results.
I highly recommend Dr. Hyun Joo Kim for revision of contracted or short noses.
