Nine Months After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose Deformity

It has now been nine months since my revision rhinoplasty for contracted nose deformity, and I remain fully satisfied with the results.
Unlike the multiple failed revision surgeries I had in the past, this time, even approaching the one-year mark, I’ve experienced no complications and am genuinely pleased with both the aesthetic and structural outcome. In previous cases, issues typically began to surface around the one-year point—changes in nasal shape, columella deviation, upward rotation of the tip, or visible grafts beneath the skin. Even when everything seemed fine immediately after surgery, problems would inevitably emerge over time, making me consider yet another revision.
However, with this most recent surgery, I feel none of those concerns. I no longer have the anxiety of anticipating future issues, and I have no desire to undergo another revision—an outcome I never thought I’d reach.
In my past surgeries using silicone implants, I struggled with persistent blackheads around the nose, and the implants would often shift, likely due to facial asymmetry, resulting in frequent nasal deviation. This time, using autologous rib cartilage for reconstruction, the nasal bridge remains perfectly straight despite the underlying asymmetry, which is truly impressive.
Previously, even with rib cartilage, I experienced excessive stiffness at the nasal tip, and there was always a lingering concern that the cartilage might eventually protrude through the skin. Despite having undergone multiple surgeries, I haven’t encountered any of those issues this time.
I endured a great deal of distress from poorly executed procedures, but I can hardly remember those difficult times now. My daily life is no longer marked by worry or discomfort—only relief and gratitude.
