2 Months After Bulbous Nose Correction at RU Plastic Surgery

It has been two months since I underwent surgery
for a bulbous nose at RU Plastic Surgery.
I first learned about RU through a YouTuber
whose overall facial appearance improved dramatically
after having rhinoplasty at this clinic.
During my consultation, I truly felt—just as many online reviews mentioned—
that the staff were extremely thorough and kind.
Compared to other clinics I visited,
what stood out the most was how much of the consultation
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim personally handled.
It wasn’t a brief one- or two-minute meeting.
He took the time to ask whether I had any additional questions or concerns,
which left a strong and lasting impression on me.
This was my first rhinoplasty, and the procedures included
autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty,
bulbous tip correction,
and columella–nasolabial angle adjustment.
My goal was to have a nose that looked balanced
from both the front and the side.
After the nasolabial angle correction,
I feel that not only my nose,
but also my philtrum and lip line
appear more refined and harmonious.
The materials used were
autologous rib cartilage and silicone.
Although I have always been interested in cosmetic procedures,
I am quite sensitive to pain and tend to feel nervous about it.
Deciding to undergo rhinoplasty was therefore a big step for me.
In reality, however, the surgery was not as painful as I had imagined.
The only discomfort I experienced was during the first couple of days,
when I had a mild sore throat.
When I asked the consultation manager about this,
she explained that it was caused by intubation during general anesthesia
and is a common part of the recovery process.
Even if I could go back in time,
I would still make the same decision to have this surgery again.
It truly feels as though not only my nose,
but also my eyes and overall facial balance
have improved, given how central the nose is to one’s appearance.
I specifically requested a shape that was not too sharp or overly slim—
a softly rounded tip with a subtle straight
or gently curved line.
I emphasized that I wanted something natural and balanced,
and I am very happy to say that the result closely matches
what I had envisioned.
