2 Weeks After Revision Rhinoplasty (Autologous Rib Cartilage Mold) Review
본문

This is my fourth nose procedure/revision. In my early 20s, without much information,
I had a thread lift to raise the nasal tip. Over time, the threads began to protrude and inflammation worsened,
causing serious complications. To correct these issues, I underwent surgery again last year.
However, mistakenly believing that a closed rhinoplasty would be faster and safer to recover from,
my second and third surgeries also failed.
Although all threads were removed, the shape of my nose was so disastrous that I longed for my original nose.
The dorsal hump worsened, and my nose collapsed like a pig’s snout.
I often questioned whether those surgeries were worth the money.
Naturally, I complained to the clinics, and the surgeons assured me that revision was possible.
I entrusted my nose to the same clinic for the second time, but the outcome was still disappointing.
So, this time, I decided to have my fourth rhinoplasty. Determined not to fail again,
I carefully researched and set the following criteria for choosing a clinic:
1. Single surgeon clinic
2. No more than two surgeries per day
3. Dedicated anesthesiologist
4. Results from previous patients matching my aesthetic preferences
Most importantly, I wanted a procedure free of complications and durable results.
Therefore, I focused on clinics with positive reviews for autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty.
After consultations with several surgeons, Dr. Hyunjoo Kim stood out.
He is well-known for skillful use of rib cartilage,
and his surgical techniques appeared more detailed and precise than others during the consultation.
That impressed me, and I chose to have my revision surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
Currently, I am two weeks post-op. Regarding recovery,
I can say it has been noticeably fast.
Having watched many rhinoplasty vlogs on YouTube, I believe my recovery is quicker than average.
Compared to closed surgery, I experienced less bruising, and the swelling visibly reduced overnight.
Even small wounds on the knee heal quickly when treated properly—so
I think my nose surgery recovery was relatively smooth.
I feel that Dr. Kim’s hands are very delicate, and that care truly shows.
The shape of my nose has gradually changed over the past two weeks.
It may be too early to fully evaluate, but overall, I am satisfied with the result.
The nasal tip and nasolabial angle appear naturally refined.
As the residual swelling continues to subside, I feel my nose is becoming more natural day by day.
I enjoy looking in the mirror every morning. Once the remaining swelling disappears, I will post another update.
