1 Year After Revision Rhinoplasty for Drooping Nasal Tip
본문

It has now been one year since I underwent revision rhinoplasty to address a drooping nasal tip.
I initially decided on the revision after noticing a friend’s nose that looked beautifully refined, and upon asking, I found out it had been done at RU Plastic Surgery by Dr. Hyunjoo Kim. Although I was advised to come in for long-term follow-up due to the distance to the clinic, I haven't been back since there haven't been any particular issues.
Previously, the tip of my nose had a rounded, drooping shape that gave off a masculine impression. Now, after the revision using autologous rib cartilage, the tip is well-supported and maintains its shape firmly. Compared to my previous surgery, the nasal tip does feel firmer, likely due to the rib cartilage graft. I can move it side to side without issue, but it feels somewhat heavy and stiff, so I avoid touching it unnecessarily. I’ve come to realize that once you’ve had nasal surgery, the nose needs to be treated with extra care, almost like caring for a newborn.
Just as I once asked my friend about her surgeon, people around me now frequently ask where I had my nose done. The scar from the rib cartilage harvest is minimal, appearing as a thin, white line. Although I still have a silicone implant in place, the mesh material was removed during the revision, which has made things feel much more comfortable.
I truly hope this result lasts for the rest of my life
